Norwich-based independent furniture business Warings Furniture has confirmed it plans to relocate its store.

The company, which specialises within the contract sector - mainly in the hospitality industry, aims to move its current Cattle Market Street site to new premises on Westlegate, still based in Norwich.

Warings revealed it has been looking for a new location since 2014 after planning permission was granted on its current site to be converted into eight flats.

Warings has submitted its own planning application to Norwich City Council for its new site to replace the shop front glazing and make alterations within the property, with the company preparing for a December opening.

Last month Warings posted its latest results for the year ended 31 December 2015, with total sales surpassing £9m, up by 12% on last year.
