Online mattress and beds retailer Mattressnextday has announced that it plans to open its first bricks and mortar store next month.
Mattressnextday, which has recently launched a new website at www.mattressnextday.co.uk, will officially open on 15 October 2016 in Herne Bay, Kent, which has seen the company invest a total of £50,000 in the venture.
Adding to its existing showroom on Lakesview International Business Park in Kent, the retail store will feature beds, mattresses and accessories from well-known brands including Silentnight, Relyon and Sleepeeze.
Patrick Seeley, Mattressnextday chairman, told Cabinet Maker: “We are excited to be opening the first Mattressnextday retail store in Herne Bay. Being a leading online mattress and bed provider we feel our presence on the high street will only enhance the current offer we provide to our customers.
“Coming from a retail high street background, I believe people prefer to have see and feel what they are buying with the benefit of one to one professional advice. Our aim is to supply an excellent shopping experience with fast delivery and competitive prices.”
Mattressnextday also revealed to Cabinet Maker that it plans to open more stores in the future, with a focus in the South East region of the UK. No official locations have yet been established.
To mark the company’s milestone, Mattressnextday said that it plans to host a celebratory discount opening event on the day of its launch, whilst highlighting that the move behind the new store adds to its ‘brilliant year’ with ‘further success’ expected.
