Switzerland-based online furniture retailer Beliani has announced the launch into the Spanish market after a successful pilot operation.
Launching its official Spanish website, beliani.es, the company has been piloting the market in Spain since 2015, and has now expanded its product range by 20% with the introduction of rugs and lamps.
The move also expands its European presence up to 14 countries including the UK, Germany, France and Italy, as well as adding to its global status that includes the USA and Canada.
Coiciding with the Spanish launch, Beliani has recently invested €20m (£17.1m) in the construction of two new company warehouses including a 69,000sq ft warehouse in Daniken, Switzerland and a 215,000sq ft facility in Wietzendorf, Germany.
Established in 2009, Beliani said that this new European central warehouse is now supplying the Spanish market, with the new infrastructure allowing for an increase in the availability of goods of up to 94%, resulting in a shortened delivery time across the European market.
