Retailer rings the changes as profits decline

The owner of DIY chain B&Q, Kingfisher, has announced its first set of ‘sharp’ decisions aimed at unifying the retail conglomerate’s pan-European operations following a year-on-year sales dip of 1.4% to £10,966m and pre-tax profit decrease of 7.5% to £675m for the year ended 31 January 2015.
