Family-run home furnishing specialist Plumbs has announced a return to profit as turnover rises for the year ended31 December 2015.
According to its latest filed accounts, total sales grew to £26.8m from £26.1m in 2014, while gross profit increased to £5.5m from £4m over the same period.
The company reported that it took to new methods of advertising to reach its target markets, alongside the use of digital media as it continued to invest in IT development as it maximised its technological advances through its App development.
Plumbs also revealed that it restructured the company to enable faster response and delivery times, with the success of this improvement paying dividends in its end of year profitability, as the company returned to profit at £276,964, significantly improving on its loss of £1m in 2014.
Looking ahead Plumbs unveiled plans that it intends to continue its investment by developing its external manufacturing network, as well as the in-house production unit at itsPreston,Doverand Redhill factories.
