Bed manufacturer Sealy UK is celebrating the success of its latest Spring Show as record numbers attended alongside two rugby stars.

The event took place at Brooklands Museum in Surrey and was its fifth successive year. The show featured its entire product collection, as well as never-before-seen mattresses that were specially unveiled for attendees to test out before the Telford show later this year.

Among the visitors were two Harlequin rugby athletes, Sam Twomey and Matt Hopper, who made the effort to try out every bed to find their perfect match. Sealy is gifting the pair a new bed as part of its ‘World of Sport’ campaign, which promotes the link between sport and sleep.

Neil Robinson, sales and marketing director at Sealy, said: “We’re extremely pleased with his year’s event. It was the most well-attended show we’ve hosted to date, with buyers travelling from across the UK to visit us.

“Our new products were very well received, but you’ll have to wait a little longer to hear more about the innovative mattresses. It was fantastic to showcase our entire product collection for the fifth year running - we’re already making plans for next year!”

Harlequins player, Matt Hopper said: “Getting a good night’s sleep is key to how well I play on the pitch, or even when I’m training at the gym. We have a busy training schedule ahead, so I’ll need to make sure I’m getting as much rest as possible during this time. It was great to be able to test all of the mattresses on display, and find the perfect one for us with the help of the Sealy team on stand.”
