Multichannel retailer John Lewis has announced that it plans to open a new store in Chelmsford, investing £18m.
The new 90,000sq ft store, which is part of the Bond Street development project, will officially open on 29 September 2016 and will feature the usual departments expected from the retailer, including a Home sector.
Customers will also be able to take advantage of John Lewis’s click & collect facility, with the opening date announcement coinciding with John Lewis Chelmsford search for local charities to support as part of its Community Matters programme.
John Lewis are encouraging people nominate any charity, which sees £3,000 split between three important local charities every 12 weeks, by contacting CommunityMattersEssex@johnlewis.co.uk.
