Barnoldswick-based bed maker Silentnight has announced it has extended its partnership with Lancashire County Cricket Club for the new 2016 season.

The continued relationship also sees Silentnight sponsor the upcoming Lancashire Lightning V Birmingham Bears NatWest T20 Blast match at Emirates Old Trafford on Friday 29 July 2016.

The partnership will see cricket fans get the chance to watch the match from the comfort of a VIP bed area, known as the ‘best seat in the house’, in a competition launched in collaboration with Heart Radio.

Silentnight’s marketing director Nick Booth said: “We’re very proud of our Lancashire roots and being able to support an elite local team like Lancashire County Cricket Club, for another season, is a real honour.

“Sleeping well plays a big part in athletes’ performance, so the partnership is a great fit. We are also providing the playing squad with Silentnight beds to ensure they get a great night’s sleep and hopefully promotion at the end of the season!”

Business development manager at Lancashire County Cricket Club, Warren Hegg, said: “The players got some great tips from Silentnight last year and they’re looking forward to the partnership again this season; as a club we’re incredibly grateful to Silentnight for their continued support.”
