Office fitted furniture manufacturer SBFI Limited has reported a growth in turnover despite seeing its European market experiencing a downturn in sales.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 November 2015, total sales rose by 17% to £9.6m from £8.2m in 2014.
The London-based business, a subsidiary under the Five Fingers Group, revealed that its UK sales grew 75% to £4.9m, whilst its Asian market remained broadly flat at £2.8m.
However, European sales fell 23.5% to £1.3m, with its Rest of the World category also experiencing a decline by 29.1% to £536,000.
Gross profit was marginally up by 3.3% to £3.1m from £3m, whilst both operating and pre-tax profit slowed from its previous year to £508,000 and £488,000 respectively.
SBFI said that continued investment in design and development of its products lead the way in desking technologies, with the outlook to continue to build on its current market share within the financial and control room furniture sectors.
