Swiss furniture company Vitra has announced that it will present a dedicated hall of exploring work themed furniture at the Orgatec in Cologne later this year.

In collaboration with 14 architecture, design and technology brands, Vitra’s ‘Work’ showcases the elements that shape the work environment and the tools impacting productivity in its location of Hall 5.2.

Vitra has partnered with brands including Archilogic, Artek, Bulthaup, Dinesen, Gantner, IdeaPaint, Kvadrat Soft Cells, Kvadrat,

Laufen, Mercedes-Benz, Ruckstuhl, Samsung and Swisscom.

Commenting on the exhibition theme, Vitra said: “As the very meaning of work and the office are being redefined, 'Work' offers a destination for discussing and exchanging ideas about work and presenting concepts that have enduring significance within the workspace of the present and immediate future.”

The international trade fair for modern working environments, Orgatec takes place from 25-29 October 2016 in Cologne.

'Work' has been conceived by Vitra in partnership with the London-based architecture studio of Pernilla Ohrstedt and the Los Angeles office of the designer Jonathan Olivares.

As part of an accompanying programme of events and activities, evening talks will be held featuring internationally renowned experts addressing trends and changes in the working world. In addition, daily tours are offered in the hall.
