Global online destination for home furnishings and décor, Wayfair, has announced the launch of its new ‘WayfairView’ app.
Developed by Wayfair Next, the company’s in-house research and development team, using Google’s technology, WayfairView allows shoppers to visualise furniture and décor in their homes at full-scale before they make a purchase.
Steve Conine, co-chairman and co-founder, Wayfair, said: “Wayfair Next is laying the groundwork for new innovations that will change the face of retail – all with first-party technology. By digitising our vast catalogue through 3D scanning, we will dramatically improve the visualization of products to create the best possible shopping experience for our customers.”
Wayfair has also announced that it was named as Internet Retailer of the Year at the Internet Retailer Excellence Awards in Chicago, USA.
